Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, has stated that his team’s next focus will be securing a Champions League spot for next season.
“The best team won today,” said Guardiola. “Congratulations to Real Madrid. Now we will focus on the league.”
Guardiola added that “Our next goal is to beat Liverpool,” and for the remainder of the competition year, “our aim is to qualify for the Champions League.”
“I want to continue as Manchester City’s manager,” Guardiola further expressed.
“We must accept that we deserved to exit the Champions League. We have to accept that this wasn’t our year in the competition,” Guardiola concluded.
