Robin van Persie, the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker, is reportedly close to becoming the new manager of Feyenoord. According to The Athletic, the 41-year-old, who is currently managing Dutch club Heerenveen, is expected to finalize his agreement with Feyenoord today.
The management structure will reportedly include former Manchester United assistant manager Rene Meulensteen, who is set to join as van Persie’s assistant coach.
This news comes shortly after Feyenoord’s notable achievement of reaching the Champions League quarterfinals following their victory over AC Milan.
