Football superstar Lionel Messi has expressed his disappointment about missing Argentina’s national team selection due to injury. The Inter Miami forward shared his feelings through a post on his social media page.
“I am saddened by not being able to play in our crucial matches against Brazil and Uruguay,” Messi stated.
He further explained, “I wanted to play, but due to a minor injury, I need rest and couldn’t be there.”
Meanwhile, his club Inter Miami has indicated that Messi’s return to the field will depend on his recovery progress from the injury.
